Setup in Decemeber 2003, The Thai Schiffli Embroidery Manufacturer Association (TSEMA), is a non-profit association that brings about the strenth of the embroidery industry in Thailand. Its initiatives include the collaborative promotion of the Thai embroidery industry, spreading its awareness to global markets, and actively interacting with the government and suppliers to gain bargaining power. Oriental Embroidery Lace (OEL) joins TSEMA in February 2004, because the initiatives coincide with its market outlook, in terms of its expanding global reach. With a stronger bargaining power, OEL believes that this strategy shall being cost reductions to its customers. Representing ourselves with a voice as an industry acts as a promotion in itself.
